Every path holds a story and our curiosity often propels us towards the next turn. Whether rocky, muddy, or smooth, the trails remind us that wherever they lead, we know Jesus, our Lord, has been there, is there, and will always be there with us.
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.
Georgia Pass, on a cool September morning near Breckenridge: moose, beaver ponds, gorgeous Colorado vistas, wild flowers, mountain streams.
Our first attempt at videoing our adventures. This trail starts at the ghost town of St. Elmo's and ends at Tin Cup, a small mountain town. One of the more nerve testing parts of this trail is that part of the trail is in a lake, Mirror Lake. You must go through the lake to complete the trail. At certain times of the year, the trail is impassable due to the level of the lake. We went late July . To negotiate the crossing of Mirror Lake, stay as close to the shore side as possible or you will go for a swim, Jeep and all. As a matter of fact, the day we did this trail a rental Jeep, went through a few minutes before us. It went too far out from shoreside and completely sank. Praise the Lord, everyone in the Jeep got out safely.
Lot's of water crossings & increasingly difficult ascension. This is an out and back, which means it does not go through. Up to the top, turn around, and come back. The top was rough, and precarious, as you will see, but worth the adventure. Let's Go!
